ALANNA + JON

Alanna and Jon were such a beautiful couple to photograph. They had a very intimate/elopement style wedding dinner and hired me to document the portraits portion the day of at Vizcaya. Alanna's priority was to have day time photos in a beautiful location with all their guests/family. I loved this idea, because no matter how small or intimate a wedding is, the photographs are always going to preserve the memories and the feeling of becoming husband and wife. Choosing a beautiful location like Vizcaya was also a great treat for the groom's family from Boston who had never been before. (And Vizcaya is always a good idea!) After the portrait session, Alanna and Jon left for their private family dinner reception to celebrate their marriage.

Karla was a dream to work with from start to finish. She guided me in making the most important decisions in advance of the photoshoot, so I could trust her to navigate on the day of. In this way, she gave us the gift of fully enjoying that special time with our families. With only a few hours to shoot and the threat of rain upon us, Karla skillfully hit every mark while leaving room for real life to occur naturally. When I look at our wedding photos, I remember the magical afternoon we all shared. This is her specialty- she expertly captures the art in the magical moments.
